Arkansas Education Freedom Account

Grand Canyon Private Academy (GCPA) proudly participates in Arkansas’s Education Freedom Account (EFA) program. Through the EFA, eligible Arkansas families can receive state-funded scholarship dollars to help pay for GCPA tuition and other approved educational expenses—making flexible, personalized private school education more accessible.

What is the Arkansas Education Freedom Account (EFA)?

Arkansas’s Education Freedom Account (EFA) program was created to give families more educational choice by providing state funding that can be used outside of the traditional public school system.

Eligible students may receive up to $6,864 for the 2025–2026 school year, with funds distributed quarterly. Families can apply EFA dollars toward approved educational expenses such as private school tuition, tutoring, homeschool curriculum, instructional materials, educational therapies, and more.

The program has expanded to universal eligibility for all K–12 students eligible to enroll in an Arkansas public school, giving more families access to flexible educational opportunities.

How Can Arkansas’s EFA Program Benefit My Family?

Arkansas’s EFA program gives families more control over how and where their child learns. Eligible families can use scholarship funding to create an education experience tailored to their student’s individual goals and needs.

Benefits of the program include:

  • Funding that can help offset GCPA tuition costs
  • Support for approved educational expenses beyond tuition
  • Flexibility to personalize a student’s learning experience
  • Additional scholarship opportunities for qualifying students with specialized needs
  • Priority consideration for military, first responder, and law enforcement families
  • A streamlined renewal process for returning participants

By expanding how education dollars can be used, the EFA program helps families access learning environments and services that best fit their child.

What Can I Use Arkansas EFA Funds For?

Arkansas EFA funds may be used for a variety of approved educational expenses, including:

  • Private school tuition and fees
  • Homeschool curriculum and instructional programs

How Do I Use My EFA Funds for GCPA?

Once approved for the Arkansas EFA program, families can use their scholarship funds to pay tuition at participating private schools like Grand Canyon Private Academy through the ClassWallet platform.

Families can request a tuition quote from GCPA’s enrollment team and upload the required documentation to their ClassWallet account to process tuition payments directly to the school.

After enrollment documents and tuition payment requirements are completed, students are officially enrolled and families will receive onboarding support before the school year begins.
