Middle School

At GCPA, we push all of our students to succeed in the learning environments and with the support they need to do their best. Online middle school works much like conventional school, but with the added convenience of a virtual platform.

A Day in the Life of a Middle School Student

Middle school students at Grand Canyon Private Academy experience a balance of independence, flexibility, and teacher support. A typical day may include attending live Class Connect sessions, participating in collaborative discussions, completing online assignments, and working independently through digital lessons.

Students often have flexibility to structure their day while continuing to receive support from teachers and academic staff. Throughout the week, students may also participate in clubs, virtual events, and school engagement opportunities through the K12 Zone platform.

Middle School Live Class Sample Schedule

  • 8-9am – Open Help Lab
  • 9-9:45am – ELA
  • 10-10:45am – Math
  • 11:00-11:45 – Science
  • 12:30-1pm – History
  • 1:30-2pm – Spanish
  • Interactive, asynchronous lessons in reading, math, social studies, science, Spanish and art can be completed anytime throughout the day outside of live class time offering families flexibility in their schedules.

Middle School Curriculum Overview

The middle school curriculum at Grand Canyon Private Academy helps students strengthen critical thinking, organization, and academic confidence while preparing for high school success. Students engage in standards-based coursework supported by certified teachers, interactive lessons, and flexible online learning tools.

The curriculum encourages students to develop independence while remaining supported academically and socially throughout the school year.
